John W. Nisbet – Managing Principal & Partner

John has been a senior executive in the higher education and healthcare sectors for over 25 years.  He began his career at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in developmental biology, and in laboratory management with The Ohio State University in Veterinary Medicine, and in cancer research with the OSU Medical Center.  He worked for 12 years with The Ohio State University, holding positions of increased responsibility for strategic planning, the financial enterprise, business intelligence, human resources, information technology, and process improvement, ultimately serving as Chief Administrative Officer to the College of Arts and Sciences – a collection of 5 colleges merging 20,000 students into one College.

John worked for Creighton University as Vice President of Finance & Chief Financial Officer, developing, and overseeing long-term financial strategy that included the expansion of health sciences to Phoenix, Arizona, and held positions of Senior Administrator and Chief Operating Officer to multiple units at the University of Miami Medical Center.  He also served as Vice President of Business Affairs & Chief Financial Officer to another private Catholic university, where he led the financial enterprise, student financial services, human resources, and information technology.

He holds a Master of Business Administration degree specializing in corporate finance from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science degree in molecular and cellular physiology from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from The Ohio State University and is certified as a Green Belt in Lean and Six Sigma.

Melanie Storms, Psy.D., - Principal & Partner

Melanie Storms, Psy.D.  has served in a leadership capacity in higher education for over 20 years with a focus in the areas of change management, strategy implementation, organizational restructuring, and culture development.  Most recently she spent six years as Senior Vice President at Saint Leo University where she focused on strategic operations, serving as a member of the President’s Executive Cabinet.  Prior to joining Saint Leo, Dr. Storms held a variety of roles including College Vice President, Campus President, Vice-President of Academic Affairs, Dean, and Program Chair.

 

Dr. Storms earned her bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, and her master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology.  She has also earned a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Cornell University and is an alumna of the HERS Leadership Institute. 

In addition to her responsibilities at Foresight Consulting Group, Dr. Storms has been a tenured professor of psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Saint Leo University. She also currently serves on the Boards of both non-profit and for-profit organizations.
